TACTICAL SIGNIFIGANCE
The loss of the capitol city of Xin Feng Tian was a heavy blow to the morale of the Hai Shi Dao forces, but the sting of defeat was tempered by the knowledge that the defenders had inflicted extremely heavy losses on the attacking PRF divisions. Hai Shi Dao commanders staged a combat withdrawal to the foothills of the Er Ting mountain range, hoping to lure overconfident PRF commanders into attacking in the hilly terrain. Both forces, battered and depleted, prepared to fight the last great battle of the war.
MISSION PROFILE
The Er Ting foothills consist of three main hill areas, divided through the vertical center by a valley road and several small village buildings. The village buildings are destructible but will not yield any points. There are inaccessible mountains within each hilly area, with the exception of the mountain in southern B-2 sector which has a "hidden" shelf on its eastern face, ideal for artillery placement.
The neutral base in the center of the map is situated between several rocky outcroppings. The defender and attacker bases in the western valley map area allow easy access to the road for rapid travel between objectives, but can put forces starting there at a disadvantage due to lower elevation.
Defender Objective: Destruction of attacker VTs, capture enemy bases and deprive them of Sortie Points
Attacker Objective: Destruction of defender VTs, capture enemy bases and deprive them of Sortie Points
