TACTICAL SIGNIFIGANCE
The N'an Lai River runs into the heart of Hai Shi Dao island and is one of the primary supply routes to the HSD capitol of Xin Feng Tian. The Pacific Rim Forces had maintained control of Gui Fen seaport at the mouth of the river since nearly the beginning of the conflict, but the water route north of the delta was still under HSD control and could be used to ferry supplies along its length.
The city of Meng Chung He was a key port on the N'an Lai and strategically important to control of the river. Any force controlling the city would be able to limit supply transports on the river.
MISSION PROFILE
With a variety of different terrain types, Mission 18 is favourable for almost all combat types. The primary features of the map are the natural barrier formed by the dividing river, the north and south bridge crossings, and the ring road which encircles the map. The hilly area in the D-corridor allows for both attackers and defenders to travel without being easily seen. The canyon corridors in B- and E- columns are very constrained and do not allow for quick travel like the road routes do.
The city buildings surrounding the attacker and defender main bases are destructible and will debit 3pts from the relevant side per building when destroyed.
Defender Objective: Destruction of attacker city buildingds, destruction of attacker VTs, capture of enemy bases
Attacker Objective: Destruction of defender city buildingds, destruction of defender VTs, capture of enemy bases
Possible Non-VT Targets
City Buildings (-3pts per building)
Defender side building total points: 432 (144x3)
Attacker side building total points: 447 (149x3)
