TACTICAL SIGNIFIGANCE
Tisho Rin Airbase lies along the eastern lowland border of the Right Brothers separatist territory and is the only airfield capable of accomodating high capacity air transports within 60km. The adjoining supply base services all of the Right Brothers mobile armour division fortresses along the border, from the coast to the foothills of the Er Ting range.
Given the massive strategic importance of the Airbase, it was only a matter of time before it would figure prominently in the conflict. The faction which controls the airbase can redefine the fronts of battle for all sides.
MISSION PROFILE
The mission takes place along a coastal lowland plain. The attacking side has the choice of two starting positions, both at the extreme southern end of
the map. Defenders may start at the airbase, or at a remote north-western location. The plain between the defender and attacker positions is primarily
flat along its entire expanse, with small depressions in certain areas. A thick fog limits visibility, and in combination with the groupings of trees can
lead to difficulty in picking up enemy units visually.
The attacker objective on this mission is the destruction of six C-111R Air Fortress planes located at the eastern end of the airstrip. Each plane has a durability of 300 points, and will debit 30 Sortie Points from the defender Sortie Total. Destruction of all planes will result in 180 Sortie Points from the defender side.
Defender Objective: Prevent destruction of C-111R Air Fortress planes, destroy attacker VTs, capture bases and deprive of Sortie Points
Attacker Objective: Destruction of C-111R Air Fortress planes (6), destroy defender VTs, capture bases and deprive of Sortie Points
