TACTICAL SIGNIFIGANCE
Numerous clashes with pockets Hai Shi Dao resistance had left the invading PRF spread thin along several fronts with numerous units dedicated to occupational duty. Upon receiving intel that the PRF supply depot at Ji Feng was minimally defended, HSD commanders immediately siezed upon the opportunity to strike at the relatively defenseless target. In addition to damaging the PRF resupply capability, HSD also hoped to obtain additional ammunition and fuel to replenish their own supplies which had become critically low from the loss of Outpost 8.
MISSION PROFILE
Ji Feng military base is a maze-like assembly of corridors, bases, and small hills. The terrain makes locating enemy units difficult, and the sharp turns and tight corridors can lead to surprise encounters for both sides. This mission is unique in that both sides start with no bases, only remote deployment frames which cannot be captured. This allows for more variation in strategy for both sides, and the potential for prolonged matches.
The large expanses of flat ground are ideal for fast attack VTs. At the same time, the dense corridor environment is very conducive to support VT usage (indirect fire).
There are many potential non-VT vehicles in this mission which may be destroyed by either side to add Sortie Points back to their teams' total. This tactic can "buy back" entire VT re-sorties if sufficient targets are destroyed.
This mission is considered to be one of the favourites among many players.
Defender Objective: Eliminate attacking enemy VTs, deprive them of Sortie Points and capture bases.
Attacker Objective: Eliminate defending enemy VTs, deprive them of Sortie Points and capture bases.
