The Colt Executive was created for platoon commanders to give them a higher survivability and greater battlefield capabilities. The Colt Executive is essentially a standard
Colt model with enhanced armour, weapons mounting options, and minor drive train tweaks to achieve maximum platform performance. The addition of the 315-SB smoothbore cannon allows this model to keep opponents at arms length and the DP-MIS and T-GND triple grenade options let it counter
Falchion or
Scare Face A1 fast attack units.
Due to the additional time and resources necessary to produce the Executive model, production capacity is limited. These units are only to be fielded by experienced pilots due to their reduced stability rating and more advanced weaponry options.
Field Notes
"So what makes it better? Is it wearing a tie?"
A more robust cousin of the
Vitzh, the Colt boasts an impressive torque rating for a 1st generation standard combat VT. This allows it to be fielded reliably on hilly or swampy terrain. As with most Right Brothers VTs, it can mount the MKR-LA marker launcher, which makes it very effective for the scout and intelligence gathering role pilot as well as a marker for artillery units. The Colt does suffer a bit in veering efficiency, which can make it difficult to use in close range combat, thus it is best used in middle-ranged group assault roles.
Having played for the Right Brothers faction from their initial availability in Round 2, I came to highly value the Colt as a team mate when piloting the
Vortex. The Marker Launcher is a greatly underestimated weapon and can make all the difference when going against a superior VT side. Marked VTs are easy prey for artillery and will more often than not be destroyed before the 3 minute marker life runs out.
Cheap to deploy and available in unlimited numbers from the supply bin, this should be the VT of choice for non-RB members to request when looking for a first generation marker capable VT. Although the
Scare Face A1 also fills the role, its limited availability makes it more difficult (and expensive) to obtain in trades.

This loadout gives impressive armour chewing power with the combination of the 140-MG and 80-CG, even Blades and Rapiers suffer large amounts of damage on a single pass against a Colt Executive so equipped. The 77-REC/T-GND combination gives a high hit rate percentage against moving targets even without F.S.S.
