Hai Shi Dao
The venerable Vitzh is the oldest VT still in active service. The base platform was derived from construction materials transport units, which lend this unit its extraordinary stability specification. Originally conceived to be a supplmentary armour force in areas of unsuitable terrain, this VT was proven reliable enough to eventually replace tracked tank battalions and paved the way for further development of the VT platform.

With a superior stability rating, this VT is nearly impossible to tip over and is often used in pilot training battalions. It is still field deployed as a scout and combat VT due to its minimal cost and superior field maintainability, however its equally minimal durability sometimes results in a low survival rate for its pilots. Armed with only the most minimal of weapon loadouts, this VT must be used in group attack formations in order to be effective.

Field Notes

"All hail the mighty Vitzh Ninja."

The Vitzh is the most performance limited VT in the game. Its stats are exceptionally low in all regards and it has no unique weaponry or capabilities to help offset this deficiency. About the only things it has going for it are that it is extremely cheap to deploy (and purchase) and that it is nearly impossible to tip over, even at high speed. I would recommend the Vitzh only to those who are completely new to the game (on Hai Shi Dao faction) or in scenarios where your side needs a disposable scout role VT. Group tactics work well with massed Vitzh pack hunting technqiues, but survivability is low for pilots who go it alone in this VT.

Using the Vitzh in a match will almost always yield masses of supply and combat points for a pilot due to the games system of VT stats ratio scoring. Even landing a single round on an enemy VT will net a player many supply/combat points, the amount is increased exponentially when the opponent is piloting a 2nd or 3rd generation VT.

There have been a number of players that exclusively field Vitzh and m-Vitzh units during 1st generation matches, even when superior VTs are available. Those who become adept at the technique are known as "Vitzh Ninjas" and are highly respected. It is somewhat amusing to note that one of the professional names associated with heavy Vitzh piloting is "Samurai" the antithesis of the concept of "ninja."
